Most solar installations are connected to the electricity grid to feed in the surplus (or all) of solar-generated electricity.
However, when there is a power cut on the grid, the microinverter stops working.
This is essential to ensure the safety of technicians working on the grid.
Until now, the only way to generate electricity off-grid was to connect the solar array to a battery.
The battery accumulates the electrical energy produced during the day and redistributes it when production is at its lowest.
However, for the majority of solar projects, batteries represent a financial cost that is too high to ensure their profitability.
The Enphase IQ8 microinverter contains an intelligent chip that identifies the needs of the home and regulates the distribution of electricity in real time.
To do this, the IQ8 system uses the same low-voltage alternating current as your home.
The microinverter never contains a high-voltage DC power supply, to ensure maximum security.
With this new system, Enphase makes it possible to create a mini-grid powered by a solar array and come close toenergy independence.

The TW Solar 405 W module has been designed using Multi-busbar technology, and Half-cut technology, which reduces power loss, giving an additional output gain of between 5 and 10 W. TW Solar 405 W is constructed from 108 monocrystalline photovoltaic cells (PERC) set in a corrosion-resistant anodised lightweight aluminium alloy frame and covered with a 3.2 mm thick panel of high light transmission glass. The glass has an anti-reflective (AR) coating and is thermally fortified. All this is in addition to a 15-year product warranty and a 25-year solar warranty.
